Giving life back
Giving back is super important in everyday life. When we look in the mirror and see all we have why complain or take it for granted? Did you know 50% of homeless youth aging out of the foster care system will be homeless within six months because, without a stable home life, they never learned the skills needed to live independently? Within 72 hours of being on the streets, homeless youth get approached for sex, and 49% of homeless youth get sexually exploited. You have the power to create change in your community and around the world. There are loads of organization’s in the Atlanta area that you can join in spreading awareness. Like the Funds for Equality organization that is partnered up with a human rights campaign. They help spread awareness in different communities that help fight for Blacks lives matter movement, equality for women, and also for LGBTQ equality as well.
Giving back doesn’t always mean spending money. Here are ideas of giving back to help brighten up someone else’s life.

- Give to a Food Drive: When donating to a food drive your not only just giving back to your community, you’re also helping each donation you make to help plenty of different charities as well. There are different ways you can join a food drive, playing a sport or even joining a car wash can raise plenty of charity to help fund your donations.
- Donate: Donate old clothes to your local Goodwill. Goodwill is a fantastic organization and retail store that helps someone in need. You can also donate quarters as well when you walk into stores like Dollar Tree or Papa Johns. They sometimes will have a donation jar’s to help cancer patients and with every quarter that drops into the pot, you are already making a change to save someone else life.
- Join a Movement: Joining different movements and organizations is a great way to help give back to your community. You can join movements like the Women’s Rights Movement, the Walk For Aids Movement or 9to5. You can always volunteer to spread awareness on why it’s essential to inform the public of how their community is suffering. Therefore get out there and change the world for millions of generations to come.
- Consider Creating a Crowd Fund: Another way to give back is creating a crowdfund. Crow Funding is the practice of funding a project or venture by raising small amounts of money from a large number of people, typically via the Internet. It’s an amazing and creative way to help raise awareness in your community so let your ideas run wild.
- Hospitals: Grady hospital is the largest hospital in the state of Georgia and is the best-recommended hospital in the city of Atlanta. You can provide coloring books, board games, face painting, and many more creative blessing’s to give to amazing children.
There are loads of ways to give back! When you give back, it’s not only impacting you, but it affects someone else’s life by letting them know that they are cared for and loved. Why complain about how your life is going when just waking up is already a blessing. And while someone else is waiting for something new, wouldn’t it be cool to be that one person to change someone life?
