With the number of female voters being higher than that of men, the power of women voters has been highly underestimated by many political figures. The new voting rights group Supermajority hopes to change this. With a mission statement, “ is a membership-based organization that affirms and builds women’s power and serves as a one-stop shop for advocacy, community building, and electoral participation aimed at transforming our country and building an intergenerational, multiracial movement for women’s equity.” With this, there are a number of different goals the group hopes to reach to help fight for an equal voice for female voters. 

The first is to create a platform that will help connect women voters with powerful female figures in the political world. Along with creating a network for female voters to stay connected, the group also plans to provide training to help teach voters about issues and problems that directly affect their lives in the political worlds. These two things alone could prove to be an important factor in helping female voters in getting their voices heard in the world of politics. The ultimate goal of the group will be to mobilize the millions of women voters to demand the change that politicians need to make in their favors. With this direction the group could prove to be an important factor for many political figures to consider when looking at women’s issues.
